Frequently Asked Questions
What are your therapy fees?
Sessions are $200 for 50-minutes. I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for those with financial need—please ask during our consultation.
Do you take insurance for therapy in California or Colorado?
In California, I accept Aetna and United insurance plans and can provide superbills for reimbursement of out-of-network expenses. In Colorado, I do not accept insurance at this time.
Many clients successfully use their out-of-network benefits—just ask your insurance company if they reimburse for therapy with an “out-of-network licensed professional counselor.”
Do you offer virtual therapy and coaching sessions?
Yes, I offer secure online therapy and coaching for clients across California and Colorado.
Coaching is also available virtually for clients in other states.
Where is your office located?
In-person therapy takes place in my peaceful office conveniently located in downtown Santa Barbara, with easy access to parking.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is about getting to know you. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping to work on, and what support might feel most helpful right now. There’s no pressure to “have it all figured out”—this is a space to land, reflect, and begin at your own pace.
How do I know if we’re a good fit?
I offer a free 15-minute consultation to explore your needs and see if my approach feels right for you. We can talk about your goals, answer any questions, and see how it feels to connect.
How long does therapy usually take?
It depends on what you're working through. Some clients come for a few months to navigate a transition or challenge. Others stay longer-term for deeper healing and personal growth. We’ll move at a pace that works for your needs.
Who do you work with?
Young adults and Adults navigating transitions (college, career, identity, relationships, parenting, etc.)
People dealing with anxiety, burnout, people-pleasing, or emotional exhaustion
